Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 22 July 2026

1. Disconnect Facebook inside LazyBook
To remove your Facebook connection and the data LazyBook stores about it:
- Sign in at https://www.lazybook.app.
- Open Settings → Meta connection (the page at /settings/meta).
- Select Disconnect, then confirm "Yes, delete connection & tokens".
Disconnecting removes your stored Facebook access tokens and marks the connection inactive, keeping your already-synced history so re-connecting does not lose it.
To erase everything instead, use Delete connected data on the same Settings → Meta connection page (a two-step confirm). This permanently deletes your Facebook tokens, connected Pages, and all synced posts, insights, snapshots and scheduled items for the workspace, and records an audit entry evidencing the deletion. It runs the same deletion routine Facebook triggers when you remove LazyBook from the Facebook side, so the result is identical either way.
2. Remove LazyBook's permissions on Facebook
You can also revoke LazyBook from the Facebook side:
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (or Business Integrations).
- Find LazyBook and choose Remove.
Important: removing the app on Facebook invalidates LazyBook's access, but it does not automatically erase information LazyBook has already stored. To have stored data deleted as well, tick Facebook's "Delete posts, videos or events LazyBook posted on your timeline" / data-deletion option when removing the app, use step 1 above, or send the manual request in section 4.
When you use Facebook's data-deletion option, Meta notifies LazyBook automatically. We delete the Facebook data held for that connection and Facebook shows you a confirmation code with a link to our deletion status page, where you can check the outcome of your request at any time using that code.
3. Delete your LazyBook account
Automated one-click account deletion is not yet built into the interface. Until it is, account deletion is handled manually and free of charge: email us (section 4) and we will delete your account, workspaces you solely own, connected-Page data, drafts, uploads and settings.
4. Manual deletion request
Email syazwan.sarawak@gmail.com from the email address registered to your LazyBook account, with the subject "Data deletion request". To protect your data we act only on requests we can verify — normally by the sending address matching the account email. If you cannot access that mailbox, tell us in the request and we will verify your identity another way (for example, a confirmation via the sign-in email on file or details of the connected Page) before deleting anything.
We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and normally complete deletion within 30 days. You can request a status update at any time by replying to the acknowledgement.
5. What is deleted, and what may be retained
Deleted: your profile, workspace memberships (and workspaces you solely own), Facebook connection records, encrypted access tokens, synced Page data, drafts, uploaded media and settings.
May be retained for a limited period where necessary: records required for legal compliance, billing and tax records, fraud-prevention and security logs, and minimal audit entries evidencing that deletion was performed. Retained records are kept only as long as those purposes require.
Note: deleting data from LazyBook does not remove content that was already published to your Facebook Page — published posts belong to your Page and are managed on Facebook.
